OpenAI<\/a> (the company behind ChatGPT) is a research company with a grand mission to “ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.” Elon Musk was initially a part of the team that created it, but has since focused on being an advisor and financial backer. It’s now worth somewhere in the neighbourhood of 30 billion dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ChatGPT launched on Nov 30, 2022 and had over 1 million users in its first week. For comparison, it took Facebook almost a year to reach that and Twitter 2 years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
