Whether we like it or not, a large portion of being in the real estate business revolves around e-mail and you probably already use it to communicate with clients, co-workers, friends and family. In fact, e-mail is such an integral part of being a REALTOR® that you can truthfully say that you live in your inbox.
Either way you cut it, learning how to manage your e-mail like a ninja will help save you time and give you that extra edge so you can get ahead in this highly competitive industry. It has also been proven that the faster you can get back to someone, the more likely it is that you will get the deal. Not to mention that the sooner you clear your inbox, the sooner you can spend time with your family or hit the slopes for some spring skiing!

The difference between Google Apps and Gmail is that Google Apps provides you with all the functionality of Gmail but instead of having email@example.com, you can have firstname.lastname@example.org. It also provides all sorts of other business tools such as text documents, calendars, online storage, etc. but that is out of the scope of this article.
