Carson Green and Scott Wallace - Real Estate Experts

Scott and Carson have their own unique personalities and characteristics in business and life, which complement one another to form a motivated, professional real estate organization.

Having both grown up on the North Shore, these gentlemen know their market intimately, and easily remain connected to it’s ever-evolving nature.

Today, we’re going to get to know Carson and Scott a little bit better…

Before diving into our 20 questions with these Ninjas, let’s take a closer look at some successful Wallace Green Real Estate modern marketing strategies.

Marketing Victory #1 Katana REALTOR® Website

Whether it’s regarding software, hardware or tactics, keeping your eye on industry innovation is an important aspect of any business. Scott and Carson were amongst the first agents interested in a Katana website after we mentioned it’s upcoming release late last year.

They – much like many other early adopters – have been patiently awaiting Katana’s arrival. Now that it’s in early-access release, Wallace Green Real Estate is one of the first ever launched Katana websites on the internet.

If you haven’t seen their website yet, now’s the time: www.wallacegreen.ca

Yesterday I had an agent text me – this is a true story – and ask me how he can make his site more like Scott & Carson’s… because it’s, and I quote “just fulllll of content.” Not only do they have a beautifully designed, mobile ready site – they also LOAD it with relevant content to attract the right clients to them.

Takeaway #1

With Katana and an affordable customization ($449-$999,) Scott and Carson rest assured that their website is representing their brand in the most awesome way possible – even while they sleep. Put a little time and effort into content creation for your niche, and you’ve got a winning recipe for an online brand.

Scott and Carson see their website as an opportunity to augment their business  and they are jumping on it. Take a look at YOUR website and ask yourself this, “Does this site reflect the way I do business?” If the answer is no, or not really, then put your name down for a Katana website here and begin preparing your content strategy.

Use Wallace Green as inspiration, but do it your own way.

Marketing Victory #2 Presales & New Developments

Shortly after arriving at the Wallace Green Real Estate website, you realize that there is an emphasis on Presales and New Developments. This was not by accident, clearly. When you investigate further, you realize that a sizeable amount of design time and strategic thought has been dedicated to these sections.

Scott and Carson have focused on development projects on their website

This strategy allows Scott and Carson freedom from trying to be all things to all people. It narrows their focus, and probably forces certain prospects to look elsewhere. But as we tend to say, better to be a big fish in a small pond than the other way around.

By narrowing their focus, sure they might lose some leads. However, Carson and Scott will appeal on much higher levels to their actual demographic.

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have 20 leads that convert into 12 clients than 50 leads that convert into 5.

Takeaway #2

Scott and Carson have answered the two most important questions when it comes to creating their website, you should too.

  • Question 1: Who am I building this website for?
  • Question 2: What do I want these people to do on my website?

For Scott and Carson, the answers to these two questions revolved around Presales and New Developments in North Vancouver and beyond. For you, the answers will likely be different. Unique to your own market, unique to your own area of expertise.

By answering these two questions, Wallace Green Real Estate was able to pinpoint the niche they want to go after with their website. They also planned how they were going to engage that niche once they arrived at wallacegreen.ca.

Take the time to plan out your website strategy, start with the two questions above and if you’re a RealtyNinja customer never hesitate to email us to get ideas or feedback.

Marketing Victory #3 Optimized & Reviewed Google Profile

Claiming your business on Google, linking it to your website, providing the correct contact info and all that other Googly-stuff is an easy task to avoid. The result, your brand is not adequately being represented in Google search.

When you search Wallace Green Real Estate in Google (go ahead and try it,) here’s what you see on the right side of the results:

Wallace Green Google Profile

This is what an optimized Google profile should look like. Unfortunately, for many of you out there now searching your own real estate brand, you’re not matching up.

Are you collecting Reviews on Google and showcasing them here? Is your social media synched up? Is your contact info – including website URL – up to date? Are the photos an accurate depiction of your brand?

Scott and Carson have taken the time to put in that extra bit of effort on Google. This little effort may seem like a micro-optimization, but consider that Google is the largest search engine on Earth. With that in mind, don’t you want to do everything you can to appease them?

Not to mention, it looks really good when a prospect looks you up on Google and finds a profile worthy of pride. Great work, gentlemen!

Takeaway #3

If your Google profile is not optimized like the Wallace Green Real Estate one, don’t be discouraged. It’s never too late to get that part of your business looking sharp. If you start collecting reviews on Google today, imagine how many you might have by the end of the year.

If Scott and Carson didn’t have an awesome Google profile, their business would not be in trouble. This is not the only piece of their SEO or Branding puzzle that makes them successful agents. But it is ONE piece of it, and that shouldn’t be overlooked.

The devil’s in the details, and paying attention to those details could be the difference between making a commission or giving it up to the next best candidate. We all know that there is no shortage of agents in any Canadian market, so why not give yourself the edge everywhere that you can?
